WMBA’s Consignment Boutique Fundraiser will be held on Friday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at ASCAP.
The Women’s Music Business Association will host the WMBA Consignment Boutique Fundraiser onFriday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at ASCAP. The boutique serves as the nonprofit’s primary fundraiser for the year to support its membership programs.
The Nashville community is encouraged to attend this pop-up event to support the WMBA’s fundraising initiatives designed to foster opportunities and provide educational and networking tools to empower women working in the music business.
Items for sale include clothing of all sizes and styles for men, women and children, and accessories ranging from jewelry to shoes, all priced affordably from $1-20. Some of Nashville’s most popular food trucks, including Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will be present throughout the day, allowing shoppers to eat lunch or dinner while they shop.
WMBA president Trina Lloyd-Weidner shares the premise for this one-of-a-kind event, “As our organization continues to expand, the costs associated with running it increases as well. This one-day boutique will allow the entire Nashville community to get involved with the WMBA while scoring some items for themselves. We’re looking really forward to educating those outside of the music community about the WMBA and giving them an opportunity to build a new, affordable wardrobe, as well.”
Weidner continues, “Funds raised from the event will allow us to maintain low annual dues for our membership and to give more to Middle Tennessee’s charitable organizations.”
ASCAP is located on Music Row at 2 Music Square West in Nashville.
