The President is the Chief Officer of the Women’s Music Business Association and shall oversee the governance of the organization and ensures that they are conducting business according to the bylaws. Duties consist of managing and organizing the monthly officer meetings, as well as the annual meeting of the Board of Directors as well as all other communication with the Board. Additional responsibilities include making certain that the actions and responsibilities of the officers elected to the board are carried through efficiently.
The President shall make certain that the organization is active in the Nashville community through social and community service events, as well as be present in the music community through various activities and networking opportunities.
The position of President is only eligible for election to an individual that has served as a previous officer (President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer) of the organization.
The Vice President’s largest responsibility is to secure partnerships and promote the organization via PR and Marketing efforts. She will assist the committee chairman on projects pertaining to WMBA, as a support person and communication liaison, in addition to assisting the President with any needs of the Board of Officers. The Vice President will work directly with the Membership & Marketing Chairman to ensure that all Communication and Marketing efforts for the organization are properly executed.
The Treasurer will have the charge and custody of and be responsible for funds and securities of the Association; will oversee the receipt of monies due or payable to the Association from any source whatsoever, and ensure the deposit of all such monies in the name of the Association in such bank, trust companies or other depositories as will be selected in accord with the provisions of these bylaws; will oversee the disbursements of funds of the Association in accord with the directives of the Board of Directors, and will render to the Board of Directors at each regular meeting and at such other times as may be requested by the Board of Directors, an account of all of the transactions and the financial condition of the Association and will in general perform all duties as assigned to her by the president or by the Board of Directors of the Association. The Treasurer will also work closely with the Membership Chairman in keeping an updated list of members and contact information. The Treasurer should have experience in the financial aspects of the music business, to include, but not limited to banking, accounting, business management or financial planning.
The WMBA Secretary will see that the agenda and minutes of the proceedings of the WMBA Board, WMBA Monthly Membership Meetings, as well as the Officer/Committee Chairman meetings are kept. The Secretary will also be the custodian of the corporate records of the Association, and maintain all historical documents for the organization. The Secretary also maintains a requirement log to track the attendance of the membership, and ensure the requirements established by the Officers are adhered to by the current membership. All current or renewing members questioning their status in the organization shall report to her.

MEMBERSHIP AND MARKETING CO-CHAIRMAN (Two (2) Representatives):
The main responsibility of the Membership and Marketing Chairman is to manage membership administration, including current members and potential new members. This includes updating the databases with current contact information, updating and running point for the WMBA “Current Member” section on the website, corresponding with potential members interested in the organization, organizing an annual recruitment event, providing and updating name tags for current members at WMBA meetings, keep track of promotions and job changes for membership, and act as a general contact for WMBA members. The Membership Chairman will oversee the communication and membership entry process for all new members wishing to join the organization. The Membership and Marketing Chair also maintains a requirement log to track the attendance of the membership, and ensure the requirements established by the Officers are adhered to by the current membership. The Membership Chair will also ensure proper and correct correspondence is spread to WMBA members in an efficient and timely matter. All current or renewing members questioning their status in the organization shall report to her.
The Membership & Marketing Chairman, along with the Vice President will also oversee Marketing efforts for the organization, including promotional and online needs (to include Linked In, Facebook and Twitter accounts) of the organization.
EVENTS AND EDUCATION CHAIRMAN (Two (2) Representatives):
The Events & Education Chairman is responsible for coordinating all social, networking, nonprofit and educational activities of the organization. Activities are chosen based on the organization’s areas of interest and by WMBA member involvement.
The Events and Education Chairman will be responsible for overseeing the monthly meeting agendas and coordination, including networking sessions and guest speakers.
